Está chegando a hora

O filme brasileiro O Ano em que Meus Pais Saíram de Férias acabou ficando de fora da disputa ao Oscar de melhor filme em língua estrangeira. A produção havia conseguido ficar entre os nove semi-finalistas, mas hoje o sonho de poder ganhar o Oscar acabou quando às 11h40 da manhã de hoje, foram anunciados todos os concorrentes finais ao prêmio. Os países que conseguiram ter algum representante este ano foram, Israel, Aústria, Polônia, Kasaquistão (não, não vou fazer piadinhas, hehehe) e Rússia.

Outra surpresa desse ano é a indicação do independente "Juno" a melhor filme. Totalmente controversa, essa comédia que fala de gravidez na adolescência com muito sarcasmo, mostra que a acadêmia está começando a rever seus conceitos tão antiquados. Mas suspresa mesmo seria se o filme ganhasse. Além de melhor filme, a produção concorre a melhor atriz, para Ellen Page, e melhor diretor para Jason Reitman, filho de Ivan Reitman e diretor do excelente Obrigado Por Fumar. E melhor roteiro original.

Michael Moore concorre com seu documentário Sicko, que denuncia o sistema de saúde norte-americano (hmmm, isso lembra alguma coisa?) e a fofíssima animação da Disney, Ratatouille concorre a melhor roteiro original, além de melhor animação. Brad Pitt que foi tão celebrado no Festival de Berlim por seu papel em O Assassinato de Jesse James... ficou de fora da disputa. Mas seu coadjuvante Casey Affleck concorre.
